Dairy Free 2 Ingredient Butter

This is an incredibly versatile recipe that is perfect for dairy and soy free families.

  • It has a 2 ingredient base but can add in herbs and salt to taste

  • Easy to make at home

  • Spreadable!!!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup of olive oil

  • 3-4 tsp water

FLAVOUR ADDITIONS: we added preserved lemon, herbs and smoked sea salt. You can add anything!

YOU WILL NEED:

Food processor

WHAT TO DO:

  • Freeze your olive oil either in an ice cube tray or a silicon cupcake tray

  • Once frozen (will take 3-4 hours) add into your food processor with your other ingredients

  • Blend until smooth

  • Pop into a container and back into the freezer for 10-20 minutes before whipping with a fork and then store in the fridge

STORAGE: in the fridge for 2 weeks

Can also freeze and bring out 5 or so minutes before using need to store it in the freezer but it spreads from there without warming up at all
